Does your child have trouble learning their addition or subtraction? Maybe they are not understanding the concept of it. Sometimes a child needs a visual to grasp the concept of the spaces between numbers.  Example: if you have tiles on the floor you can place a number on each tile in a straight order 1-10.  Place your child on tile number 1. If you have an equation like 1+2, your child can stand on tile number 1 and move 2 steps forward.  Your child can now see that they moved 2 spaces to get to the answer.  This works great for skip counting by 2s also.  Below is a video that explains it in more detail.
